The Fairies Talk To Puff

When the fairies showed Puff the pamphlet that Princess Leznupar had had printed he felt very honoured but found himself blushing for the third time in three days, but as he was already red it did not show. The fairies then told him about the big discussion about which castle the wedding should be in and Puff said “The answer is simple. There should be two double weddings, one in each castle”. “You are a genius!” shouted the fairy in the green dress. Now this was Tinkerbelle who like solving problems but had not thought of this solution. “That’s all very well” said Zarina, who was always a bit of a rebel “but which castle should have the first one?” “That is also easy” sighed Puff “The castle with the red and white shutters on the windows”. “Why?” queried Queen Clarion. “Yes, why?” asked Silvermist, who was often a little vague. Rosetta smiled and said in her charming and well mannered voice “…because when Puff arrived at the tall tower the first person he met was Princess Leznupar and although the second person he saw was Princess Gorgeous she was fast asleep and the third person was Prince Rupert and as Leznupar and Rupert live in the castle with the red and white shutters on the windows so the first wedding should be in the castle with the red and white shutters on the windows”. Fawn was about to say something mischievous, but Rani told her to be quiet or she would make it rain over her. Puff very nearly let flames and smoke shoot out of his nostrils in his excitement, but managed to stop himself in time so he didn’t frazzle the fairies. To have done so would be a ‘disaster darling’. “How will we let the Princesses know what Puff has said?” asked Queen Clarion. “I am the fasted fairy so I’ll go now and tell them” said Vidia as she flew off towards the castle with the red and white shutters on the windows to find Princess Leznupar.

The two Princesses and the two Princes just happened to be in the castle with the red and white shutters on the windows discussing how they were going to solve the problem of which castle to have the wedding in when Vidia zoomed in through the open window. This took then all by surprise as the fairies hardly ever left the pool by the waterfall in the glen and they had never known a fairy enter one of the castles since Princess Gorgeous’ christening. This had to be something special. Now fairies speak vey quietly and ca be difficult to hear so Vidia flew right up to Leznupar’s ear and told her what Puff had said. Leznupar was so pleased she jumped up with joy sending Vidia tumbling off in a twirl. Vidia picked herself up off the floor and shouted as loud as she could “So that’s how you thank the bearer of good news. I am not impressed!” but Leznupar did not hear her as she was excitedly telling the others what Vidia had told her. Princess Gorgeous gently picked up Vidia and thanked her for bringing the message from Puff, which made her feel better but she zoomed off out of the window back to the pool by the waterfall in the glen where she was safe.
