Lords Cricket Ground is the home of the MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club), who are the guardians of the Laws of cricket.
The Ashes Urn resides at Lords and the term ‘Ashes’ was first used after Australia beat England on 29th August 1882 at The Oval, which was the first time England lost on English soil.
On 5th July 2014 Lords celebrated its 200th year when the MCC played the rest of the world.
