There are some environments where 360° Panoramas may not appear to be the obvious choice, such as on safari in a game reservation or visiting a feature which requires a trek to reach, but in these circumstance 360° Panoramas can provide a different perspective.

Single shot 360° cameras today are readily available and small and light to carry although they may not always give the quality that can be achieved by stitching multiple images taken using a panoramic head.
