360° Panoramas capture a real world scene at a moment in time, but they may not actually be accurate. Stitching multiple images with plenty of overlap allows moving objects such as people, animals and vehicles to be excluded. This was especially true when capturing images for the Corporate Hospitality Tours when three sets of images were captured so that with people moving around no person appeared twice in the same panorama and when capturing the Seat Locations at Wimbledon’s Centre Court there was an ‘army’ off cleaners dressed in bright blue so multiple images were taken at intervals so they could be excluded in the final result. This does not apply if 360° Panoramas are captured with a ‘single shot’ camera, but even with these objects can be included. When capturing images for Knowlton Church a Chinook helicopter flew past just as the image was being captured, but in the following panoramas the Tower, Dragon and Witch were added to a fictional panorama.

The Adventures of Puff evolved to keep my Grandchildren occupied on car journeys. The story varied each time it was told and could start and end at different places. The story is intended to prompt for questions and encourage audience participation such as the children making a tall tower with their hands, but they wanted to know what the tall tower looked like! Creating a single image was challenging, but the real challenge was attempting to create a 360° Panorama of the tall tower in its surroundings.

The following 360° Panoramas included images from real places which have been manipulated to create the tower surrounded by mountains. The real challenge is ‘joining’ the image so there is no disparity as the viewer pans around the panorama.
